Yalara was born from a simple idea: to bring the beauty of heritage into everyday life.
Being born in Sri Lanka and raised in Australia, I found myself wanting to reconnect with my roots as I grew older. While planning my wedding, I was inspired by the beauty and symbolism of traditional Sri Lankan jewellery. But when I looked for pieces I could wear every day, I realised they were surprisingly hard to find.
So I created Yalara Jewellery.
Our debut collection reimagines Sri Lankan motifs through a modern lens - creating jewellery that feels timeless, meaningful and easy to wear, whether you're dressing for work, dinner with friends or a special occasion.
Every piece is crafted in 18k gold vermeil - a thick layer of gold over sterling silver - chosen for its beauty, quality and longevity.
We believe heritage shouldn't be reserved for weddings or display cabinets.
It deserves to be worn.

Yalara began with a sketchbook, and a desire to create the pieces I had been searching for myself.
What started as an idea became months of learning, designing, refining and working with manufacturers to bring this vision to life.
